This project was assigned to learn how to utilize Adobe Character Animator. I started this project wanting to create a character from scratch and rigging it properly. For character animator, the main thing that requires is a particular naming scheme for your layers. I couldn’t get somethings to work, like the blinking which work on preset characters I couldn’t get to happen automatically, but the button worked just fine in the end. Using this software has made me want to try my hand at doing something similar, but using Live2D Cubism instead. I feel like I’ve seen more tutorials for Live2D, so I might have a better shot at getting a higher fidelity product using different software.
